We reached Malvan at 10 AM. Stayed in a place, Anjali lodge, which is a home stay and very close to Rock Garden and the place was OK. The good thing is that the car parking is safe and we have good option for food there. My son was not feeling well so we decided to take rest for some time.
In the evening we went to Tarkarli for a boat ride. One person, who arrange the local sight seeing for the guests of Anhjali lodge arranged a boat for us.
We paid Rs 1000 and we got a boat exclusively for us for a duration of one hour. The cruise starts from Tarkarli backwaters and will go till Sangam-point where the back waters meet the sea.
After that it will have a halt on Tsunami island where people have the option to get engaged in water sports. We didn't go for it as my kid was not feeling well. The cruise was an excellent one.
We reached back at the starting point after one hour. Had a tea at the MTDC resort Tarkarli which is an excellent property being very close to beach. We went back to the hotel after that.

| Sunrise at NH17 |
We started at 6:30 AM. travelled 8kms to reach NH17. Since it was morning there was not much traffic on NH4. The whether was cool and car was going as if it is travelling on a carpet, a typical Fiat way, and was zooming ahead with the typical Italian growl. Our first stop was at 8:15 AM for a bio-break. Had some photographs as the place was providing a fantastic look of the NH17.
The route that we selected was Panjim-Sawantwadi-Kudal-Malvan, With the
help of Garmin GPS we could travel without much worry about the route.
It guided us correctly except one place on Kudal Malvan road. Kudal to
malvan is approximately 35 kms. Kudal-malvan state highway is not in
good condition for the first half and later the road quality improved.
But Punto insulated us from the road surfaces with its excellent
suspension. thanks to Fiat for giving such an excellent car.

Till kudal I
got a FE of 18kmpl which is excellent for a massive car like Punto
which is heavier than few of the sedans like Honda city. The driving at
Ghat roads were like cutting a cake in punto. It gives complete control
over the car in turnings even with high speeds.
